Now you can travel with the peace of mind that your medical and emergency contact info is with you wherever you are.

Features & Benefits

First and foremost, Traveler-ER is easy to use. Developed with input from emergency medical professionals, Traveler-ER provides you with a simple solution to store and carry your personal, medical and emergency contact information. Doing so could help ensure medical personnel have quick access to the information they may need in a medical emergency.

Traveler-ER allows you to securely store:

  • Personal Information
  • Medical History
  • Emergency Contact Information
  • Contact Information for your primary care physician and other doctors
  • Health Insurance Information
  • Family Medical History
  • Information about your Travel History

USB drive storage vs. Online storage of personal and medical information

Traveler-ER differs from services that allow you to store similar records online in two important ways. First, your personal information is only stored on your Traveler-ER drive, not on a central database that can only be accessed online. People who aren't authorized to view your records can't because they are only stored on your USB drive.

Second, what if there isn't internet access where you've just had a medical emergency? Medical professionals wouldn't be able to view your records. With Traveler-ER, medical professionals just need access to a computer, not a computer with internet access (which could be an issue, especially when traveling outside of the United States).

If you are traveling somewhere and you're not sure there will even be a computer, Traveler-ER allows you to print your profile and take it with you by using the printable Emergency Records Report feature.

Printable Emergency Records Report

One of Traveler-ER's most unique features is the printable Emergency Records Report. This lets medical personnel quickly print all the information from your profile onto an orderly form they can consult prior to and during emergency medical treatment. It also allows you to print and carry your profile if you so choose.

What if you are non-responsive when you require medical care?

A standard procedure is to inventory your wallet and other personal effects if you are non-responsive when you require medical treatment. Each Traveler-ER comes with an alerting decal for you to place on one of your identification cards (i.e. Driver's License or Insurance Card) to alert emergency personnel that you are carrying the device.

Once emergency personnel locate your Traveler-ER, they can quickly view your emergency records. It is important to remember that the amount of information they can view without your password is determined by the security level you chose for the device (see Security, below). If the security level you chose required a password, a password screen will appear when the drive is attached to a computer. Emergency medical personnel can press the "Continue" button on this screen to view your un-encrypted data if you can not provide them with your password.

Security

Traveler-ER uses a modern encryption algorithm to password protect the data you enter into the software and allows you to choose from four levels of security to protect that information – High, Medium, Low and None.

At the High setting, all of the information you enter is protected until your password is entered. The information can not be viewed by anyone, including medical personnel, until the password is entered.

At the Medium setting, only your personal medical history, doctor contact information and emergency contact information can be viewed until your password is entered.

At the Low setting, all of the data you enter - except your social security number - can be viewed. Your password is required to view your social security number (if you chose to enter it).

At the None setting, all of the data you enter can be viewed. There is no password requirement for this security setting.
